We are currently searching for an energetic, organized “Supply chain supervisor” to work in our Milwaukee Japan office. Successful candidates will have experience in supply chain & operations management skills.  The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail will be key.  We invite you to apply and learn more about our company & this exciting opportunity.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Serve as business partner of Sales – Finance & Operation Director and other functional managers to drive business

Inbound/ Supply Planning

  • Control shipping schedule with factory and forwarder to be on time inbound to Japan 3PL
  • Co-ordinate with HQ operations team and communicate to market the inventory lead time and supply constraints

Demand Planning

  • Manage Demand Planning with JP management team and HQ counter party.
  • Develop complete analysis / timeline related to supply and demand for new product launches and product transitions

Outbound

  • Manage smooth outbound operation working with Japan 3PL and ensure order / operation process are well executed

Automation System Operation

  • Co-ordinate with internal IT / Finance and 3PL to build automation system infrastructure
  • Work closely with the HQ, IT team to ensure smooth system functioning

Excess &Obsolete

  • Monitor and manage slow moving inventory and obsolescence and report to JP management team and HQ on time
  • Work with HQ Operations teams & develop plans for improvement to achieve inventory goals and reduce obsolescence.

Other

  • Manage adjustments to business plans as necessary, includes changes to orders, schedules, and related work.
  • Maintain scorecards on specific operations related KPI's, include - fill rates, inventory turns, E&O inventory
  • Other duties / continuous improvement projects as assigned


Job Qualifications

Requirements:

 

Academic & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum of 3 years of experience in work related to Inbound, DP planning, outbound operations / administration
  • Understanding of Oracle & WMS
  • Strong numerical skill with strong sales operation and forecast / demand planning skills
  • Supply planning experience to communicate oversee factory and forwarder to be shipping to Japan on time
  • Determination to build a career with a forward-thinking business

General:

  • Ability to understand and analyze supply chain & operations metrics
  • Languages – Native Japanese language and Fluent in English communication (verbal & written)
  • Good IT skills e.g., MS Office, PowerPoint, Internet, CRM etc.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent planning, time management & process driven skills
  • A highly motivated self-starter with strong individual and team working skills
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as required by the business
